When you’ve done the unthinkable and your hair has gone from gorgeous to deadly, it’s time to take drastic measures.  Seriously, though, if you have neglected your hair to the point that even you don’t recognize it, then you definitely need to take action.

Winter with its gusts of windy, cold air can take even the best and most luscious looking of tresses and redress them into dry, straw like strands of hair.  Honestly, though, the dry indoor heat also damages your hair in a major way, and if you don’t take care of it properly, you may live to regret not taking the small amount of time necessary to revitalize your tresses.

Dry, lackluster locks are something you won’t see even on a villainess in a b-rated movie.  Why have them yourself?  Cold weather and the rush to get to the office have a tendency to overwork the hair dryer that lives among our arsenal of early morning weaponry.  Since it is often unavoidable to pull it out and torture our lovely locks with it, simply counteract the damage.

Use an intensive daily conditioner and put the life back into one of your best assets.  Simply apply the conditioner to clean hair that is still a bit damp.  Leave the conditioner on for three or four minutes, and then rinse it out fully.  However, if your hair is very fine, apply the conditioner for only one minute and completely avoid the roots of your hair.  Once you have your hair back in shape, remember to continue taking care of it to prevent a reoccurrence.

Dry, itchy scalp is caused by dry indoor heat and a very low humidity.  The moisture is slowly sucked right out of your hair and scalp.  By the time that you notice this, it is almost too late.  Avoid a dry, itchy scalp entirely by using a hydrating scalp treatment, full of natural oils that soothe the scalp while imparting its special moisturizing ability.

Take the time to browse the available products and select the one that seems appropriate.  Apply the scalp treatment directly to your scalp and work it in.  Leave it do its job for three to five minutes, then work it through your hair with a full rinse.  You will notice a difference that improves with each treatment use.

Dandruff can be a problem for some of us on the best of days, but harsh winter conditions seem to make it worse.  Fortunately, manufacturers provide us with a full arsenal of scalp treatment products that can chase away those unsightly flakes and revitalize your scalp into a healthy state.  These products contain special ingredients that exfoliate and help to remove undesirable dandruff flakes.

Again, check out the available products, and select what you think is best.  Apply it directly onto the scalp and leave it on overnight.  In the morning, simply shampoo to remove the flakes.

Having a reputation for having a terrific personal appearance depends on looking our best at all times.  Taking care of our hair is part of this image.  It’s definitely worth the effort.
