Your Condenser Washer Dryer Guide

by DoItYourself Staff

A condenser washer dryer machine is the latest in innovations for washing laundry.  The condenser drying system does not require any outside venting.  This makes these machines the ideal system to use in a home where there is a limited space and limited access to outside venting.

Determine the Space For the Machine

There are a variety of condenser washer dryer machines on the market that come in different sizes and styles.  The space that you have available for the machine will determine which one is most appropriate for your home.  Front loading machines use less water and are more energy efficient. These machines use a drum to agitate the clothing instead of the standard agitator that you find in a top loading machine.

Another option is the all-in-one washer/dryer model. This model washes and dries, which is especially fitting for apartments or condominiums with space for one machine. Make sure that the unit is vent-less and that you have the plumbing capacity for the machine that you decide to install.
