If you have use programs like Cork or InDesign or even Word, you would probably created styles to format text. Maybe you have made a headline style using something like aerial 24 point bold and then apply that style to your copy. It is a cool trick. Styles make it easy to create consistent headlines and then change them automatically everywhere you have used the style.

Well, you can do all that and more with cascading style sheets or CSS. In this lesson, we will review the basics of styles in the web to make sure you have a solid foundation in creating and applying CSS before we go on to the more advanced options. CSS is not only the best way to design web pages. It is the best way to prepare for the inevitable. Like when your clients finally come to there senses, realize maybe hot pink and forest green was not the best idea even if those words or wallpaper colors they had in the 70's. So, come on, let us add some style to your pages.
