Hi, in this video we are going to talk about how to repair a squeaking door. As you can see this door here is squeaking.
So, we are going to repair the squeaking. For this job, we are going to actually need a hammer, a nail set, some WD40, and some rugs.
The first thing I want to do is I want to lay down the rug on the bottom because as you can see and I will show you now. From this door opening and closing so much, what happens is that kind of causes like black graphite that kind of build up and I do not want any of that on the floor so I kind of just like to lay it here. I lay the rug and catch it and as I go for it. I am going to use WD40 which you can get to any hardware store.
I am going to take the nail set up, spread inside, and take my other rug I have here and wipe it down, and take it back. And, as you can see there is black there which is the graphite. This is going to leak out which you do not want to get on the floor. Now, just to continue to go up further and next one, take my rug and my WD40. I want to make sure that WD40 gets down into the cylinder because if I do not I was basically do some de-spraying the hinge and I do not want to spray to hinge because that will not get any help anything at all.
I am taking my hammer set that one back and wipe the bottom off. My last is the final one here. Go up on the same process again and at this point we have repaired the squeaking door.
