People want to do electrical projects around the house and you probably wonder well I have to get a whole bunch of expensive tools and I do not know what to get. It is really not that hard to do. You can assemble a quick, simple set of electrical tools that let you do just about everything in your home a professional can do.

Probably, the most important tool that you need is what I call lineman's plier. This particular tool has got a heavy cutting mechanism that cuts the cable right in half. The second tool is actually the wire stripper that does these little holes that match the size of the copper wire so you can strip the insulation without actually cutting the wire.

A needle nose plier is also an important tool. This is the tool that allows you to take the stripped wire and bend it so that it can get around a screw on a receptacle or a switch. And of course, you need a standard flat-bladed screwdriver, you will need a Phillips-head screwdriver often and the old standby razor knife which allows you to actually cut the plastic insulation off of the cable.

And perhaps the most important part is this handy little pouch that clips over your belt and it also has a nice little clip on it that allows you to store the electrical tape that you need. This little electrical tool pouch and all of the tools that go in that would make a great gift idea for somebody and I will tell you what I guarantee the person who gets it, they will get a charge out of it.
