Now, there is another thing I can mess with on the about screen and that was the text background. So, actually let me come back up to that screen here for a second and let us take a quick look. Now, if I move my playhead down to end I kind of see what the text is going. Let me see out here just a little bit so we can see the contacts to the screen.
Now, if I simply just copy and paste everything in place, my application is going to look a little bit stiff because the text will always come up in the same spot in the same orientation. But by building with movie clips as we have done so far, we can actually take advantage of being able to move things around and resize them, and still have them work together.
Now let me do that, I know I just fix the text here but let us make a quick change where we just for instance pull the text over to the side of the of the screen. Now that is fine and good, I probably should update the first key frame and that as well. So let me that real quick and then we will go back and then deal with the background. Because remember the background is kind of sitting down here like this on the bottom.
Now before I even go too far with this, I am going to double click on the text and I would like to also just change the proportions. I am just going to double click into it, so I go into the movie clip that we have on our folder over here. I now have the static text field and I am just going to stretch it out so we have a big wide field like kind of spread out a little bit over the area.
Now let us take that change, we will go back to our about screen and it looks like I just need to move my playhead down to the back end again, then we can see the text. That is going to be a little bit different arrangement of the text. So, I will just do the same procedure we did before. I will just pick the text out. Make sure I have my selection tool. I select the text and copy it. We will go reset up the first key frames so that it matches. So once again, I will just delete that and paste in place and start the alpha back down to zero again.
But that is not really fixing the text background for me. I need to move it over here and resize it so that it fits the text. Well, because we made this into a movie clip that is actually pretty easy to do. The only thing that is difficult about it is when I pull it up, the first frame of my background does not look like a background at all. So, it is very hard for me to figure out where it should go in reference to the text.
Well, I have got a pretty good trick here for this one. Let us double click into our animated text background and here is what I usually do with this. Oops! It looks like I got the wrong movie clip. I got to get the text background instead of a text. Here we are. Now, there is a little animation set up.
Now, if I pick out this key frame right here, that pretty much represents the background as it sits in the end of the animation. What I would like to do is copy that. I will make a new layer and will paste that on to this new layer. I will paste in place, so it is the same exact spot. It is the same size and everything and with that in the frame one, when we go back to our about screen, I can now see exactly how big the background is going to be. So, let us fix that up and adjust it in our animation.
Now, I need to move my play head so I can see the text. At the end here, I should be able to grab that background and I will pull in and set it up, so it is right around the text. Now, you can see what I have got to do. I have got to scale a little bit. Now, luckily that is scaling the entire animation for me here, so I can adjust this. However, I need to fit any kind of orientation of text.
Now, all we need to do at the end is get rid of that background because we do not want to see it when we are animating our file. We do not want to have this big square sitting here the whole time while the rest of the animation of that perspective and the fading is all going on there.
So, here is kind of the trick part I guess. If we double click back into our animated backgro
