Flourless Chocolate Cake Recipe
Video Transcript
Billy Parisi: Thanks for watching another episode of fixmyrecipe.com, Chef Billy Parisi here. Our new fix goes to Daniel of Chicago, Illinois. She said she had a ten pound block of chocolate left over from the holidays, needs a few recopies. Don't worry Daniel, we have got your fix right here.
What better recipe than a flourless chocolate cake. Make sure your chocolate is cut up into small chunks, and we are going to put it together with our butter and put it right in our double boiler.
Daniel, we can do a little bit of multitasking now while the chocolate is melting, we need to mix together our egg yolks and half the amount of sugar. Then whip our egg white to stiff peaks, and then fold in the other half of sugar. Now that the chocolate is melted, we are going to fold it right into our egg yolk sugar mixture, then we are going to fold in our egg white mixture.
Everything is folded in so perfect. Now we need to grease up our nine inch pie tin, lay some parchment paper down, pour in our butter, it's going in the oven 350 degrees for about 40 minutes. Alright, Daniel, kind of spilled over a little bit, that's okay, don't worry, there is no flour in this thing obviously. So it actually will fall quite a bit.
Now this isn't quite going to serve for ten pounds of chocolate, but this is a good start. For all the recipe, you are going to love this flourless chocolate cake. Daniel, thanks again so much for writing this thing, and we really appreciate it, and I know the staff is going to actually love this cake. I know you got ten pounds; we got rid of some of it. I want to know what you are doing with the rest of it. Be sure to email me, let me know. Come back tomorrow, and see our new feature fix of the day.
