Lola Berry: Here I am Lola Berry for Fruits and Roots and you are on watchmojo.com. Good day, I am Lola Berry, welcome to Fruits and Roots. Today, we are going to be busting a few mood foods, but first we are here at my favorite local Farmers Market having a squeeze at some really exciting mood foods. Let me introduce you to the Mudgeeraba Farmers Market, located 25 minutes from Surfers Paradise in Australia. This place is sure to get your taste buds going, from fresh fruits and veggies to organic spreads. You can eat and get a drink made from sugarcane.
But today we are on a hunt for food that specifically make you feel good, mood foods. And we can name those from Beechmont Citrus. Can you tell me how many types of citrus you grow in your farm?
Male Speaker: Yeah, we grow the red grapefruit, navel orange and meyer lemon and they are full of juice and just catch that.
Lola Berry: Oh wow! If you have a bit of look at it, it looks a little like an eye and Vitamin A is really good for the eye. But, what's really cool is these guys contain glucose which just goes straight through the Blood Brain Barrier. That's why you guys are so happy, right?
Male Speaker: Oh, that's right.
Lola Berry: Bananas are another great mood food. They are fantastic source of tryptophane and B6. These both are the key players in the production of Serotonin. This is a neurotransmitter which actually enhances your mood. Just like nanny's the good old avocado which is also called the alligator pear is another great mood food. So can you tell me what types of avocados you have got here?
Female Speaker: Yeah, certainly. This is a Sharwil a smooth skin one and we have a Hass which is a rough skin one.
Lola Berry: Well now what's your favorite way to eat avocado?
Female Speaker: We have avocado on toast every morning.
Lola Berry: And also the avocados, they are great source of Omega 3 and Omega 6. So they are another great brain food with the bananas and the grapefruit, great for the mood. So jump online and surf out where your local farmers markets are. Keep stocking to some fresh good real local food. You can even make a diet of it and you get all your goodies for the week ahead. Lola Berry: Alright I want to take you on a journey to discover the differences in the water we drink. This is Mount Warning a sacred, extinct volcano. This is the first place the Sun touches in Australia every single morning and this is the water from it, branded organic water and here we have Shawn and Tessa. So can you tell us the difference between tap water, bottled water and organically bottled water?
Tessa: Well tap water is usually heavily chlorinated and sometimes fluorinated. Standard bottled water, well usually in the process of bottling it relies heavily on chemical processes and chemicals being used, before the water goes into the bottle and without water, no pesticides no chemicals used.
Lola Berry: So I hope that helped. Now remember with the mood food, get creative in the kitchen and put some blend into the food. Not only you are going to feel better but it's going to taste a truckload better too. Now on the next show Bananarama. We will be ready some tips on how to finally boost your energy plus my favorite Lola's Green Smoothie. Make sure you keep in touch and hit lolaberry.com.
