How to Apply Feng Shui to a Hair Salon

Leigh: Welcome to Feng Shui your way. I am your host Leigh Kubin.

Do you ever feel like there is never enough? Not enough time, money, or energy? That means your wealth area is not activated, and I am going to show you how to do it.

We are at wet salon with co-owner Eric Massey. Eric, tell me what are your goals in Feng Shuing your space today?

Eric: We would really like to increase the money flow if you will into the salon, like our salons has been busy but there is a lot, we could be a lot busier, we got some new stylist and we like to increase the flow of money if you would and we really want to focus on increasing profitability, because while we are kind of busy, it just seems like we need to make a little more money so we can do some of the things we would like to do.

Leigh: You feel like there is never enough?

Eric: Absolutely.

Leigh: Well it sounds like the energy pattern you are talking about is a wealth area that is missing. So is this a perfect square or rectangle?

Eric: It is a perfect rectangle.

Leigh: Okay. So your welfare is intact.

Eric: Yes.

Leigh: Well we will take a look and see if there might be an element in there that is causing this pattern for you.

Eric: That would be great.

Leigh: Before we go check on your wealth area I would like to tell you what a great job you did and the helpful people area of the salon.

Eric: Well thank you.

Leigh: You are supporting local artist and local people which is in turn allowing them to support you. So how did you know to place this here?

Eric: Well, we did apply a few of the things right principles so the salon we designed it and we knew that was the helpful people area. We wanted to come up with a very simple way of helping people in the community creating a sense of community for the salon in our area and do it very inexpensively. So we actually just used a piece of fencing and hang it and people bring by their cards and information about affairs and just anything to communicate the community.

Leigh: That is a great tip for other people that want to activate this sector.

Eric: That is what we thought so too.

Leigh: Eric we are in your wealth is and I think I have identified the problem, you created a metal room, and although it is beautiful, what happens is in the wood sector metal chops wood. So I think our main objective is to get rid of the metal and I really like to see a spring and some wood elements, some healthy trees. You can bring in wood elements in other ways by maybe you could make it a rain forest kind of a feel.

Eric: Okay.

Leigh: Or you could paint stripes.

Eric: Okay.

Leigh: That is a representation of â€”

Eric: Actually, let me ask you this question because we kind of thought about adding some stripes in here but instead of doing just solid stripes, what if we painted some squiggled line or lines that might represent possibly bamboo where it is not real straight but they are subtle in the wall with possibly little buds or something like that, that just that settles not real obvious but you kind of feel it when you come in, what do you think of that?

Leigh: I love that idea because it is going to represent water, wood and growth with the buds. So I think that will be a perfect choice for this place.

Eric: Cool.

Leigh: Let us talk about some things that you done well.

Eric: So we did not actually do every thing wrong?

Leigh: No, not everything.

Eric: We did some things right?

Leigh: Yes.

Eric: Good.

Leigh: Your ceiling is black or almost black, and that represents water which means wood, your seat cushions are also black, and the arm rest are wooden, so you have really done a good job with that aspect. Now with your sink, G- energy flows down the drain, well we do not want your money flowing down the drain, so what we are going to do is a fun technique called sealing drains and we will do that on each of these sink to represent money kind of staying in place.

Eric: That is right try to keep as much money in here as possible.

Leigh: Yes.
