How to Edit Slides Using Copy, Cut and Paste in MS PowerPoint 2007
Video Transcript
I am going to press Shift and click both of the bio slides so that they are both selected in these slides pane. And then up here on the layout tab, we are going to check bio sketch to apply the bio sketch layout we created. You can see that not all of the text appeared in the appropriate text boxes. Sometimes you need to cut and paste from placeholder to placeholder to get things where you want them. We want to put the biographical sketch where it says, Add Bio Info Here. So we will select the text by clicking and dragging and we will press Control X to cut it. We will click in the bio info placeholder and we will press Control V to paste. PowerPoint resizes the text automatically to fit the textbox.
We will click and drag to select the Head Chef text and again, we will Control X to cut and we will click down here in the subtitle placeholder and Control V to paste that text. Now, our bio slide is looking a little better. We will add a picture to it in a little while. Let us make those same changes to the other bio slide. Click to select it, click and drag to select the text, Control X to cut, click Control V to paste. And again, PowerPoint resizes automatically. You can see the placeholder that says Add Position Here which is exactly what we will do. Click and drag to select the General Manager text, Control X to cut it, Control V to paste.
In this Chapter, you learned to add slides and change layouts with the New Slide button, you learned to work in the outline pane and add slides from an outline and you learned to reuse slides from other files.
