Most people have the difficulty reading the tape measure. Simple thing like a tape measure can get people endless problems. Now pay attention here because most measurements these days are made in meters and millimeters, which is found at the top here. And you got your feet and inches at the bottom. Now, take into account that you have an inch. Then you have the first long notch there is a quarter inch. The second long notch in bold is half an inch. And then the next longest line is a full inch.

We come to the top where the meters and millimeters are. Every single one of these represent a 10 so from 1 to 2 represents a 10, 2 to 3 represents a 10. So here it's not 2 millimeters but 20 millimeters. You see that there? So 10, 10, 10. When you get to the red line here 100 millimeters. So every single one of these red lines here means a hundred. So the next one will be 200, 300 and so on. Okay? It's vital that you know the readings of a tape measure coz you'll need it to estimate a wall paper, paints that you're going to need, the size of your doors and so forth. Okay?
