Hey, everyone. I am Eric Rochow and this Real World Green, a show about practical things you can do to reduce your impact on the earth. Today, my sister and I are in her basement and I want to show a really green thing, re-using construction materials. My parents are re-doing their kitchen and then tore out all these kitchen cabinets and they were in my dad's garage and I said, hey, this would make a great workshop counter top.

So we took of the cabinets from my dad's house. We are on my sister's house here. We took the counter top, cut it down to size and we have made a great workshop bench right here. It has got storage here, it has got drawers for your tools and it is all free. We have done a number of things here. We have kept usable material out of waste stream; we have saved money because we did not have materials for this. And I am at a loss for the other one but anyway, it is just practical useful thing you can do. All right.
