In order for these variable linked folders to be immediately present within our other projects we must refresh the other projects. Collapse Part 1 Lesson 01. If you chose to install your project files in the My Documents folder through the administrator account, then this next step we are about to perform is unnecessary, because all of your folders will be linked right now, because of the variables we just created. However, if you installed your files under some other account to the My Documents folder or another folder, then what we are about to do will repair the broken links, which for just a moment here you would find in the other projects.

Select Part 1 Lesson 02, and then scroll down, hold down your Shift key and Select Solution P2 L05, right click, and select Refresh. This will cause Flex Builder to examine all of the pathing for the folders within each project, and update them with the variables that we just specified, repairing any folders named for those variables. You would find that the gallery, data, and ne_assets folders are used in several of the projects, although not all folders in all projects.

Last, for performance reasons we are going to close all projects except for Part 1 Lesson 01. You would find that Flex Builder keeps a great deal of information in memory for each project, and it's always a good practice to only open projects you are actively working on at any given moment, otherwise Flex Builder will consume a great deal of RAM.

So again, with all projects other than Part 1 Lesson 01 selected, simply right click, and select Close Project. Now expand Part 1 Lesson 01, and we are ready to go.
