Hey everyone! I am Eric Rochow and this is Real World Green. Today, another simple green tip for living, Take shorter showers.

When you get into the shower, get the water to whatever you want the temperature, wet yourself all down and then turn the water off.

Then soap yourself up, wash your hair, wash where you are supposed to wash, when you're ready to rinse off turn the water back on.

And then rinse yourself off. And then you're done.

If you have a bunch of people in your house, room-mates or kids, you can make this into a contest who can take the shorter shower, may be that person at the end of the week they don't have to do the dishes or something.

But really I mean as Americans we turn the shower on and we sit in there and everything, and you are just wasting water that you don't need to. Better yet, you can also get the low-flow shower like we talked about in our previous episode that has a little valve right here. Just turn it off, soap up, turn back on.

Alright, there you go. Come visit The Green House, green-house.tv, tell us about your green ideas, or tell us what you think about Eric in the shower. Or send us the emails, eric@realworldgreen.com. Alright, make it a great day, I'll see you later.
