You know shoveling should know can be hard work and I will tell you because sometime it could be really, really heavy in wet snow and you have to really be careful about that. There are some products out here that can make the job a little easier and what I am talking about is the icing salts. A lot of you think that the icing salts can harm concrete. Well that is not really true. The icing salts can hurt concrete that has not been put down properly.

Now, what you want to know is there are types of rock salt or the icing salts. We have got regular rock salt, which is sodium chloride. We have those really neat ram pallets that are like BB and it is called calcium chloride and the exciting thing is, is that such a new one called magnesium chloride. That particular icing salt is called mag. And one of the things that I like about that magnesium chloride is that it works best at low temperatures that has got much wider speculum and working range and the other two salts and it is less corrosive to any type of medial work that you might have ram. Let us say rot iron ralings or aluminum port railings or walkways, it is much, much less harmful to these products and it is also easier on a trees and vegetation and Ron Wilson is going to love that.

Now, where do you find these types of salts? You can find some of them at Regular Hardware Stores in Home Centers, but if you want the magnesium chloride product, you got to go to the specially salts stores, look in the yellow pages for under salt and you will find the different companies that sell magnesium chloride or mag.

Now, remember if you want help on shoveling snow, why not work a little earlier and faster. Meaning, what I mean by that, just go ahead and put the salts down before the snow fall. I think you are going to find it. It is going to be a lot easier to take care of that heavy snow.
