Nicole: Some peoples hang these crystals in their homes and cars, we have seen others wear these beads as necklaces or bracelets. Today we will unwrap the mystery behind these Zen Trinkets find out what they are all about luck, healing or just plane decoration. Next on Zen Living. This is Toine and he is going to explain about all these Trinkets. Hi! Toine.

Toine: Hello.

Nicole: Do these crystals have any special meaning or they just to look nice.

Toine: Just to look nice and also just a decorative item in the home or in the car.

Nicole: So, these are pretty too what are they for, are they also for just decoration?

Toine: Do anything, it has a lot of in-depth feelings. Practically you can use them to whether practice chanting or meditating on a mantra or a Buddha's name.

Nicole: How would you use them in chanting?

Toine: You can do it silently or a loud, but as you finish per section you can bril one by one by one.

Nicole: That is similar to the rosary. I see you have a necklace, does that make you different?

Toine: Well it depends whether you are wearing 108 or 21. In times you can use a short one which is more convenient on your wrist, or one in your neck. This is may be when you are sitting down and engaging in the very long session then yes.

Nicole: I recognize this symbol that is here on these bracelets and here on this Buddha, but I have seen it before as Nazi of the symbol of Swastika.

Toine: The original sign represents the Buddha but the reverse of it that is Swastika.

Nicole: This happy man that is here is the one a lot of questioners recognize as the Buddha, and is it luck to rub his belly, is that a tradition.

Toine: Yes, if you believe in it deep enough, then yes you may get some luck. It is known as the future happy Buddha.

Nicole: So here is everything that represents what may go right in our life.

Toine: Yes, all the things and suffering, he'll endure and deal with it himself. So when you rubbed a belly it is letting go off your pain and you sufferings.

Nicole: What is the symbolism of the 'J' pendant.

Toine: Well depends on what it is. If it is a Buddha of course it will bring you luck, compassion and wisdom.

Nicole: Is it true that the longer that you wear the greener it becomes.

Toine: I hope so, if it does that is good because that one has purify himself or herself into better stage. If it is rubbing against your skin often enough you could have a chemical reaction and changed itself.

Nicole: So there could be both physical and metaphysical reason for it.

Toine: Yes.

Nicole: Well thank you, Toine for you expertise.

Toine: Thank you. No problem.

Nicole: Whether it is whimsical or truly healing the object behind attaining these things gives vary with each individual. So go ahead and have fun with them. I am Nicole Tomlinson from all us at Zen Living, thank you so much for watching. I will look at you next time.
