Hey everyone, I am Eric Rochel and this is Rural Green. Today, more green laundry tips and specifically we are going to talk about greening the drier. And the biggest tip I can give you for this is that after every load, clean up your lint filter. That is this thing and that is full. Look at that! With your fingertips, just pull it off, it comes right off, put it in the trash.

Put that back in. You are ready to go. Another one is, if you are shopping for a new drier, look for a drier that has a moisture sensor instead of just a temperature thermostat. That way, it can sense when the clothes are just dry and then turn off the electricity or turn off your gas and it will also make your clothes last a lot longer, as well.

By the way, I got my washing machine and I got my drier both on FreeCycle -freecycle.org. Get free stuff. That is what I like about the free washer and drier.

My third tip for today with our drier, is the vent that goes outside. Make sure that that is clean, as well. That also helps the air get out but also, it is a fire safety tip, as well, because if that can get caught with lint, there is always a possibility that it can catch on fire - that is a bad thing. Easy enough, they sell these cleaning rods, take off each end, put your hand in there, clean it up. All right. So, what do you think? Do you have a laundry tip, a drier tip for me? Come at the greenhouse - green-house.tv. All right? Make it a great day! I will see you later.

What am I doing? I am just creating a bunch of scratches
