Today's mountain bike trail tip is good eyewear. Too many people think that just a normal pair of sunglasses is going to keep you safe on the trail. Very important is polycarbonate lenses. No glass because a shatter glass can lose your vision forever. Also, plastic hinges, all too many people have metal hinges which can gouge or scratch right along the side of your eye in a crash and also just having them on. Pull them away from your face for climbing to let more air in, pull them up for descending to ward of any insects or other brush or trees but very important, eyewear.
