Scaffolding for Outdoor Painting Projects
Video Transcript
Scaffolding has a great tool to use to tackle certain outdoor projects and I will tell you why. It allows you to create a great nice wide working platform up in the air. Sometimes ladders are tough to work from because they limit where you can reach on either side of the ladder. Scaffolding on the other hand allows you to create a platform that allows you to reach up to 10 foot wide. It is a great way to attack a project.
Scaffolding is similar to the old fashion of rectrices I use to use as a kid. It consist a frames and cross braising. The pieces connect together quickly and securely with no tools. Scaffolding needs to be set level, and plum. Use large blocks of wood to accomplish this.
Now, never, ever sets scaffolding on soil without the blocks. The reason why is that they way to the scaffolding and you on the scaffolding can cause the scaffolding to sink into the soil and tip over. You can stock several sections on the top to reach high places like a chimney or you can use several sections to do work that are closer to the ground. Scaffolding is available at numerous two rental stores around the Tri states or it could be rented directly from specialty scaffolding businesses. Many will deliver to you and run it on a weekly basis.
When you got that project up in the area and you do not like to work from ladders, maybe scaffolding is just made for you. It is easy to work with at sake.
