Stump removal is a huge job, this shovel is not going to get it, I say we get some heavy equipment to get this stuff out of her and move it out of the way. If you have many large tree stumps that you need removed quickly, one goo option to consider is running medium sized excavating equipment such as skid stir loader and a tract excavator back hoe. With just two people, you can make quick work of even large stumps. The controls on the equipment may look confusing at first but with some instructions and practice, it is easy to get the hang off.

What I found to be an effective stump removal method is to use the excavator to dig around the sides of the stumps until they can be popped out of the ground, then you drop the stumps into the bucket of the loader and the loader hauls the stumps to a staging area where they can either be tripped off or left to decompose. With the right equipment and technique, you can remove a lot of stumps in a little time. A shovel definitely could not have cleared that field in less than one week.
