Hi, I am Tim Carter from askthebuilder.com and is this not a sweet ride? I want to show you why years ago I switch from using a regular pick up truck to a utility truck body just like this one.

Utility truck beds like this one allow you to carry enormous amounts of tools, parts, and hardware in the secure waterproof cabinets that are on the side of the truck. The inside of the utility bed is wide enough to accept 4x8 sheets of ply wood, OSB or dry wall. Utility beds come with or without roofs but I prefer roofs to keep materials and large tools secure and dry. Traditional pickup trucks are problematic because the truck bed is open to the weather and people who might steel things.

When you go to pick up materials, you have to unload your tolls or crush them with the ply wood, OSB or dry wall. Utility truck bed cabinets come in different sizes and have adjustable shelves that allow you to setup the cabinets to hold all of your different size tools. You can buy storage boxes that fit across the back of the pickup bed even inside or some of them fit along this side fenders and rails. But none of the offer the overall flexibility that you get with these secured waterproof cabinets on both sides of a utility truck bed.
