Allen: I am a firm believer in having fun in the garden. I recently discovered a group of people who really take having fun quite seriously. It is also folks who are interested in miniature railroad and create garden railroad. They create miniature landscapes that capture the imagination. To see their work in action this holiday season, you might want to consider visiting the New York Botanical Gardens. Karl Lauby, with the Gardens tells us more.

Karl: The Enid A. Haupt Conservatory is the largest Victorian glass house in America. It is an acre of plants under glass. It is an eco-tour around the world.

Allen: Of course, it is housing your Christmas or holiday extravaganza this year.

Karl: The Holiday Gardens Train Show yes is right inside. A the lovely collection of historic houses, replicas of some of the great landmarks of New York City.

We started with 15. Now, we are up to well over 90. And they are all made out of plant materials. Seed pods, twigs, leaves, and barks and all of these replicas. From the Brooklyn Bridge to the Metropolitan Museum of Art to the Guggenheim Museum are all made out of national materials. This year, the Guggenheim Museum is made up of fungi. The Train Show does bring lots of youngsters. I am sure they clamor to come here because many other keep coming back year after year with their families. Some people leave and come. Several times, they are in the same season.
