Time to time, I talked about tools, but today I am going to tell you a little bit about pliers.

You know, pliers there are all different types. And here is one that most people are familiar with. You probably have one in your tool box or maybe your dad did and it is adjustable and it has different gripping type teeth to grab on to a knot or a bolt. But the trouble of these are of those is that you start to twist and its slips they can round off and actually cut into the metal. So, you got to be careful about these parts. They are not the greatest into my opinion. But now look at this, here is a spare pliers. It is very unique, look at how it has got a different type shape. It is actually flat and of course it has this very interesting cutting surface here. These are called lines men pliers, electricians use them and I will tell you where they are really good for. They are great for cutting wire. Watch this, one big snap you can cut all the way through a thick wire just like that with four pieces of copper in it.

Okay, now what about these pliers. Check this out. These are very interesting, these are called channel lock pliers because the jaw of the pliers can actually open up very wide to accommodate whatever you are trying to grab whether it is a small pipe or a bolt or a big one. Very, very nice and once again they got this very sharp teeth to grab on to that metal.

Perhaps my favorite is the needle nose pliers, look how tender and nice those bad boys are. The reason why, you can grab on to something like a electric wire and actually bend it very delicately around the screw. And this also allow you to cut wires as well. When you put this electric wire on make sure that the loop is oriented in that direction so that when I turn the screw clockwise it closes up the actual wire.

Oh look at that, that needle nose pliers really pinch that wire perfectly. There brothers and sisters are great tools to have in your tool box as well.
