You may notice, that it feels awkward to stand with your feet parallel. This is because most of us tend to walk and stand with our feet turned slightly outward or slightly inward. This causes unevenness and imbalance in the development of our muscles. Most of us tend to have weaker inner thighs and stronger outer buttocks and hips. This is the stance of the low back pain sufferer, thighs and hips thrust too far forward beyond the natural thumb-line.

To change this, we need to take our things back. So our hip joint is in line with our ankle and our knee joint. Then take the tail bone down. Lengthen the side body and take the head of the arm bones back. This may take some practice. Many, many decades spent in one position might take a few weeks or months to retrain.
