It's very easy to do, once you hang the cooler in the window and level it, you need to cut a piece of plywood or plexiglass to go above the remainder of the window area.

You can get a faucet adapter at any home improvement store that sells cooler parts, it's a faucet with an 1/8" hole in the side for screwing in a needle valve that will control your 1/4" water line to the cooler.
This faucet adapter looks like the faucet you already have and just screws onto where your hose was and still gives you control of the faucet for watering.

As far as locking the window, they sell little twist lock deals that hook onto the window frame behind the window and tighten down with a wing nut type setup.
