What is/does a LV345T device do?

I found this in my basement plugged to an outlet and there is a switch to turn the switch on or off. From what I've read a bit on the Internet, it controls light. However, I need to know more about what it does or purpose is.

It is an outdoor low voltage landscape lighting transformer. Do you have low voltage outdoor landscape lights.

I'm not aware that I have landscape lighting. I've contacted the previous owner but she hasn't respond to me yet. I'll hook this up and see where it lights up at night then. Thanks!

Yes, if she took the lights may be a long time. First try tracking the LV cable from the transformer. You want to make sure there isn't accidentally shorted wires where lights were removed.

I've contacted the previous owner but she didn't know anything about it. She thought it could have something to do with the radon mitigation system which I have it installed before I moved in. This device has a wire that goes outside. The wire is buried in the ground and I don't know where it goes next.

If you do a search, you'll see that what Ray told you is correct. Being's it says "Printed in USA", I'd say it's an older one, so once upon a time, it must have controlled some outdoor lighting that is no longer there.

Ahhh, they were sneaky, Shadeladie. Plenty of things still have "Printed in USA" which means the label was printed here (big whoop), but the box itself is made in China, Indonesia, etc. That's probably on there too, somewhere. Like under the label??

Well the ones I'm looking at all say made or assembled in Mexico, so not sure the label would be printed here. Yeah it was probably made somewhere else then sent here for labeling, but not sure they still do that today, but maybe!
