Yellow Privet - Nov Planting?
My local big box store has yellow privet at significant savings (75% off). I was going to plant a yellow privet hedge in the spring, but would it survive if planted in western PA in November? Night temps are dipping down into the 30's.
If a Nov planting is not likely to be successful, would it be possible to keep the plants alive through winter in the pots?
Thanks!

For 75% off I would plant them. They should do OK if you remember to water them. I would NOT keep them out above ground in their pots. The cold will really hit the roots hard. Planted though the warmth of the ground will help keep them warm and stabilize temperature swings.
