AC running even after shutting off thermostat
We have central air conditioning and heating in our house. Yesterday I turned on the air conditioning for an hour, but after that, the air conditioner continued to run even after turning the thermostat to off.
The temperature goes way below what the AC temperature is set to in the thermostat.
What could the problem be? Is it the thermostat or the Air conditioner? What can I do to fix it?

You dont say if just the outside unit ran or if the fan inside also ran. like hvac4u said try it. if outside still runs could be the contactor in the out side unit is stuck
