Is my Delay On Make Timer is it broken?

Can Delay Timer, can these break or go bad........I can not get my AC contactor to pull in by itself, without jumpering 2 yellow wires at this timer.
Any help would be appreciated. melky

If you can jump around the timer and it all runs . Then Id for sure say get a new timer and put it in. Make sure you get one that works the same .

It is probably a delay on break timer. That way it doesn't add another 3 or 5 minutes to the delay that may be built into the thermostat. It only delays on a restart, not the first start.
