Sinking AC unit

We just moved into our townhome last fall. The AC is working great, but the AC unit outside seems to be about an inch or two below grade. It doesn't look like they put cement blocks under the unit when it was originally put in. Would it be beneficial for me to try to prop up the unit enough so I can get a patio block or two underneath? Or does anyone else have any other suggestions.

Code should have it on a pad there not in the ground. Id have to ask if you can do it and not hurt the lines or the electric wires then yes. If you kink the lines you are in trouble.
