Fan won't move

If someone, ANYONE, can help me, it would be greatly appreciated considering my AC has been slowly driving me insane for the past couple of years. My outdoor compressor is only about a year old and already it's giving me problems. I can hear the buzzing from the motor but the fan just refuses to move. I poked around and spun it manually a couple of times, so nothing is stuck there. I flipped the on and off switch a couple of times also, but nothing. Any suggestions at all?

How old is the unit it self?? may need a new fan motor if the fan is not able to take off if you give it a push.

It is relatively new (since I swear, it spites me every summer so we always have to get it looked at). I was hoping that it would just require a little bit of cleaning, but I guess no luck. Thanks for the input.

Have you got your A/C working yet

Have you replaced the capacitor? There should be one compositor that runs the compressor and the fan separately, if the compressor is moving and not the fan this would be my bet if not the fan, the compositor is cheaper then the fan.

Change your capacitor, even if it is the motor you would need to change the cap anyways, chance it's only the cap..

Good Luck
