Cost estimate

I have a house I'm rehabbing and I need to get an idea for A/C and heating cost of installation. It is a 1200 square foot house and I need the heater replaced and A/C installed and it has never had A/C. The vent work is all in place and what size BTU unit should I get?

I live in Baltimore. Thank you.

Are you just starting it, or pretty much done??

If you are just starting, I'd wait till you are done updating the windows, and doors, and insuation..

Why do I say that. If you have the system sized to the house with the old windows or doors (Not knowing how old the house is, and windows and door shape)... Then when you update your windows, your furnace may be oversized and same with the A/C.

If the major weather proofing updating is done, then go ahead and do it.

Make sure the dealer do a manual J/D on the house.. Not rule of thumb. Every home is diffrent.

You can download your own program here at http://hvaccomputer.com/talkref.asp and it will be the best $50 for comfort.
