AC slow to turn on

I'm getting frost on the line that goes to my ac unit outside! Eeeks! And I'm getting heavy, dripping condensation on the outside of the ducts that lead out from my internal ac/heater unit. We've gotten LOTS of rain in last couple weeks and I've had water in the basement so wonder if this is normal behavior... I used this forum to figure out I had a bad capactior and replace it on my ac unit outside (THANKS yet again!) --- this unit had badly blocked fins around the coils so maybe unit wasn't running very well and that's why I didn't notice this before? OR I'm wondering because I've finally fixed something on my own -- maybe I"m just hyper aware of something that's been going on all along. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Hi, I have a Lennox Pulse 21 (G21Q3-60-1) with A/C. The problem is that soon after starting the A/C, the furnace blower motor will stop after starting and running OK for a few minutes. The outside A/C unit will continue to operate when this happens. After switching the thermostat fan switch from AUTO to MANUAL a few times the fan will finally start blowing and continue on MANUAL until I shut if off. When the desired temp is reached the outside A/C will shut down and restart appropriately when the temp rises. As long as I keep the blower motor running, it won't shut down when the A/C restarts. I should also mention that if I start the system with the fan on MANUAL instead of AUTO, it will behave as above; the blower fan will run for a few minutes then stop, until I cycle the fan switch a few times. I saw some similar threads that recommended a new capacitor. Replacing the capacitor did not change the symptoms. Any help is appreciated. Howard
