Window air conditioner+ sliding window=?

Window air conditioner+ sliding window=?

can you put a regular window air conditioner on it's side to fit a sliding window

Although they are a little difficult to find there are window units made for sliding windows. Your alternative is to buy a portable unit that has flexible ductwork to the window. These portable units are far more expensive than typical window units and because they do not usually have insulated ducts they tend to not do quite as good a job as a properly installed window unit.

Do a Google search for sliding window air conditioner. Caution: They are almost as expensive as the portable units.

What you want is called a "casement" unit. For some reason they are more expensive then the regular shaped units but yeah it's like one on it's side.

Can you find a regular unit thats small enough to fit the right way I got 2 regular units in sliding windows the right way and they work fine + I got 1 slider unit (2 of the units are secound hand)
