I just had my Briant condenser replaced (12 years old) with a Carrier 38TRA 4 ton- 48000 BTU.
I paid 3100 to have it installed.
Is the price right, located in NJ.

No coil- although I did see a box that appeared to have new coil but did dont need to be installed.
the price was for a new Carrier condenser installed only.
I am a little surprised that the prior Briant unit was only 12 years old and the compressor valves got corrupted.

Id say not to bad most units make 15 years. i have had them go for 43 years.
With Matt:: for the seer of the unit you should have had the new coil also. The price is right then for coil and condenser here . But it is hard to say just what the cost are for where you are.
