Is it possible to install a window A/C unit into a window with louvers (jolusie window?) that has several horizontal glass panes which open and close with a crank. I understand I need to take out enough glass slats so the vertical height of the unit will fit, but can it be safely secured and block out the outside air?
Thanks in advance.

I worked for a company that sold wall and window units. And we would never install them in that type of window.

Well
Ive never stuck one in that style of windows, but if it could be mounted correctly and sealed correctly I do not see why not, though I strongly do not recommend it, I just feel it is a bad idea...
