Disposal of old A/C parts

Hi all,
I recently replaced the fan motor and a dual-capacitor on my AC unit. I now have the old parts and don't know what to do with them. Am I right in thinking that I can't just throw these out? If so, where should I bring them?
thanks,
Bryce

If they contained Freon, that would be a different story, but a fairly small electric motor and cap would be in my next weeks garbage. The cap is not oil filled so no problem there.

Wink

The fluid in the capacitor is a low toxicity non-PCB fluid.
