How to clean evaporator coil - Goodman 2 ton hozintal unit ?

I am planning to clean the evaporator coil in a Goodman horizontal gas furnace with a 2 ton Goodman cased coil unit both installed at rental property about 6 years ago . The unit is located in the crawlspace . Before I get under the I wanted to know if I will have to deal with cutting access holes (and patching) to perform this task ? Any additional tips on performing this evaporator coil cleaning procedure are appreciated .

Thanks

Look for a access panel around the coil. Open it up and remove all matted stuf that has probably accumulated. If you can find a evaporator cleaner spray it on the coil from the air intake side then close up the unit and let it rip. ( made sure condensate drain is clear)

You'll have to get in there and look at it. If it is truly a cased coil then it shouldn't be a big deal but if not then you may be cutting an access hole.
