What are the colors of the wires?

Brown is often used (but not always...it depends on the motor manufacturer) for the capacitor connections ( a standard capacitor has 2 terminals, so there should be 2 brown wires)

This motor is likely a 220V single phase. Likely a black and a red are for the 220V power feed...or a black and an orange for 208V (double check on the motor nameplate for correct color to use, red or orange).

Does the motor have a ground wire? if so, it should be green, and that gets connected to a metal screw on the chassi of the unit.

hope this helps
