Trane ac - fan won't stop

My fan won't stop running in my air handling unit. It looks like it's a real expensive delay relay thats bad. I know the purpose of the relay, but is it that bad to put in a regular relay?

You need to post more information about this unit. How do you know that you're dealing here with an expensive delay relay? Maybe this unit has a board with programmable dip switches...maybe you have your thermostat with the fan-switch in the ON position.

How about posting the MFR and M/N of this air handler (or is it a furnace?)

Not a big fan of Trane. With a Trane unit it could be something in the board or just a fan relay. Smack the fan relay with something. Chances are it's stuck.
