two wires red and white broken from ac unit

I have an ac unit my dogs were wrestling next to it and a wire came lose. It has a white wire and a red wire. Below is a secured link to the picture of the wire and unit area. I thought it may be a ground wire but have no idea. The ac unit does not work now so it is obviously important. Please advise!

No Problem 24 Volts There

just shut the power off to the furnace air handler, and the disconnect outside by the condenser and put the stat to off on system switch.pop the cover off the condenser and reconnect with new wire nuts, and secure the pull into the condenser electrical with wire ties.make sure the wire nuts are inside the condenser for the next rubble.if the colors are different inside(yellow, blue, black whatever...)the condenser, just wire one to each and put all your power back on(cond/air handler) then go back to the stat, and set the unit to call for cooling.
