Attic Air Handler (Furnace) Hang or Lay it Down?

Hi.

I need to move our entire Central air/gar system to the attic. With regards to noise, is it better to hang or to lay the air handler on the attic floor?

If we hang the air handler from the rafters, we will be using insulated hangers and if we lay it down, insulating pads.

So which is the better choice or are both about the same with respect to noise?

Hanging it would be better for sound but it usually isnt an issue because the attic insulation deadens the sound.

I am worried about vibrations and which method is better for that.

Or is this is non-issue when using isolating pads / or isolating hangers?
