Need help with replacing thermostat (Honeywell RTH6400)

Hey guys,

I have a York heat pump and have just changed out my thermostat from a Simple Comfort to a Honeywell RTH 6400 programable. I have checked the set up and am pretty sure I am Ok but when my A/C comes on it blows heat out.

I am unclear on one part of the wiring set-up. I have 5 ports on my new T-stat

G
W O/B
Y
R
Rc

I have the following hooked up:

G -G
W&O -W O/B
Y -Y
R -Rc
R and Rc are jumpered.

Should the white and Orange be in the same port?

No they should not both go to the same terminal. Do you have electric heat strips as the second stage of heating? If yes, you cannot use that thermostat. See page 11 of the quick install guide.
