Disconnect for Trane XL1200

This is an older unit, maybe 15 years or so, 35 amp max rating, 3-ton. I don't have any more info at this time. Would anyone know if this unit would use a fused or non-fused disconnect. thanks.

I assume there is no disconnect as opposed to replacing an existing disconnect. (codes didn't require them 35 years ago)

Generally a non-fused disconnect is OK if you have the correct sized breaker (or fuse) in your main service panel. But, local codes may be different.
