Business A/C trips breaker

I work in a relatively small office with two on the roof air conditioners that are most likely pretty old. I have no access to them.

Last week before I left for vacation, one of them was not working and he informed me that we had a freon leak, but this is nothing new. The owner of the company refuses to replace the units and this is the same issue we had last year. So in essence, the HVAC guy was just here 2 weeks ago and he refilled the freon.

I left for vacation the following day only to return today and have that same unit not working. Only today, the unit is tripping the inside breaker everytime I flip the breaker inside. It flips it after 4-5 seconds.

I am not sure what to make of this so any help would be appreciated.

Did service tech find the leak? I it sounds like a service call. More than likely something something is shorted to ground and you'll do more damage resetting it.
