Smile hubba9

Hi
We have a miller 3 ton self contained all in one air conditioner.
It is about five years old. The unit stoped blowing cold air. So I checked the fan motor facing upward as it was not working, it blowes air out through the coils to outside air. The fan turned easy, so I pushed the relay in. The fan came on and the unit was blowing cold air, but when I released the relay it stopped. So I replaced the duel capacitor as it did not look good it did not have any bulge or anything. After replacing the capacitor the unit worked for about 24 hours.
The capacitor was the same one the old one said 7.5 340 v. I did recheck the same blower to see if it turned, I have not checked if the unit worked when I push the relay in the second time.
I am at work I will do this after I get home. Please help me with this? What about the relay can it be bad, but if the unit works when I push the relay in?
Please reply A.S.A.P. we really do not have the funds to call someone over.
Thank you so much for your time
Dan

Will the relay enagage automatically? Do you have 24 volts at the relay magnetic coil when the thermostat is calling for cooling?
