A/C Blower Motor Mount

Blower fan making a racket so I pulled the squirrel cage out and one of the motor mount screws was being held only by the rubber mount. So thinking I could replace the screw I tried to take out on of the good ones. Well, I can't get it all the way out or back in. Suggestions please.....

Often the little flat nut on the inside of the housing breaks loose from it's tack weld. I drill them out and use a bolt, washers and a nylock nut. If you use lockwashers and a standard nut it will come loose.

I think my compressor died on my ductless air conditioner

Hi all. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction... My Samsung 35kBTU ductless a/c (AS30C2BC/KCV) stopped working. The inside unit works fine, it's the outside unit. I turn on the a/c and the inside unit appears to be working then after a minute or less the circuit breaker trips. I realized its the outside unit. I took off the casing and turned on the a/c. After a minute I saw smoke coming from the electrical wires connected to the compressor (H29B35UABCA), heard a pop, and the breaker tripped. I noticed that one of the wires has burned off of the compressor. I turned the a/c back on and used a pair of pliers to hold the wire on to the terminal. The second I did that the breaker blew again. I'm guessing that I can pretty much bet on it being the compressor, but I don't want to spend $500-1k and find out that that wasn't it. I also don't want to pay $1100+ to a repairman to fix it if I can do it myself. Nor am I going to spend $6k+ for a new a/c. Thanks for any help!Read More

Lots of water dripping from ac unit that is mounted to inside of wall

There is no duct work in this house so the previous owner put in a unit that looks like a window unit but there are a few wires and tubes that go through the wall to another ac unit maybe 1 1/2 tons. There are what look like freon charging valves on 2 of those tubes between the 2 units. I have never seen units like this but there are 2 of them in this house, one at the front and one at the back. First, does anyone know what this system might be called or referred to as? Second, water is dripping all over the floor through the bottom of the unit that is attached to the wall. I am guessing the unit outside is a piggy back unit that provides cold air into the inside unit so it is that much cooler but I am not sure. I would think the water is severe condensation but how is it getting so much condensation with the entire unit being inside with the exception of the small hole for the tubes to go outside. I guess if the unit outside is giving off hot air somehow to the unit inside it might do something like this? Am I way off base here? Regardless, I need to get the water to stop dripping because it is filling up 2 small buckets per day and even over flowing ruining the carpet.
