In your opinion; Where you live, what percentage of 5-ton residential air conditioning systems have adequate ductwork systems that will support 2000-CFM at .5" ESP?

An installer said, only about 5%.

My experience says not a very good percentage meet the standard; & a low % will meet it at 1750-CFM.

Id say that is about right! New construction = low bid so corners will be cut.

In 26 years, I would have to agree with you about the percentage. I have seen some 5-Ton 2000 CFM systems with duct systems that would have trouble handling 1200 CFM and the homeowners wonder why they cannot keep their homes comfortable.
