A O Smith

I have a Central a/c unit and I'm having a problem with the fan motor. It has stopped working but when I give it a push it begins to spin. I think the capacitor is bad but I'm not sure where to look for it. Someone else had the same problem and was told to discharge it b4 touching any wires. how do you that.

Turn off the electricity first, then use an insulated screw driver touch both terminals on the capacitor at the same time to discharge the unit.
