A/C Condenser fan motor does not work
My Janitrol A/C external condenser fan motor does not work. When I use a stick to propel the blades it then starts running. I think it is the capacitor that I have to replace but I can't seem to locate it. The motor is GE motors Model: 5KCP39EG. Is this a capacitor issue and where is the capacitor?
Thanks

If the blade spins freely with power removed it is probably your capacitor.
Your cap should be in the control panel. Do you have a 5/16 nutdriver? It is probably connected to the fan motor with a brown wire.
Be cafeful with caps, they can hold a chrge for a few minutes after removing power.

Match voltage and microfarad.

If you have a dual cap match both microfarad values and voltag. Be sure to write down the existing wire = terminal combination before removing any wires. Color codes vary.
